2019 Festival takes place at The Track and Victoria Avenue

Headline sponsor BWCI have reaffirmed their support for the prestigious Guernsey Football Association’s Mini Soccer Festival for the next three years.

BWCI, actuaries, consultants, insurance and pensions specialists, have supported what is regarded as being the most prestigious mini soccer festival in the Channel Islands, for the past twelve years and confirmation of the latest extension to this partnership has been welcomed by Guernsey Football Association Chairman, Chris Schofield, who thanked the BWCI Group for its on-going sponsorship:

‘The continued and generous sponsorship from BWCI, is instrumental in ensuring that the GFA can continue to host what is such a fantastic mini soccer festival for the children in Year 4 and 5. This tournament is held in high esteem and is widely recognised as being a highlight of the local football calendar. It plays a key role in supporting the development of our young players, and the teams, players and coaches who are participating will undoubtedly be looking forward all season to the Festival.

‘The festival has a fantastic reputation, evidenced by the fact that we continue to attract professional academy teams, along with visiting teams from Jersey and England, whilst for our local clubs it is seen as an important event that showcases all that is positive in Guernsey football.

This year’s festival, the 18th, takes place on 20 and 21 July, and the arrangements are currently being finalised. The Venue has been confirmed as Victoria Avenue and The Track, Footes Lane will be closed during the summer for refurbishment.

BWCI's Managing Partner Diana Simon said "2019 is a very special year for the BWCI Group as it marks our 40th anniversary in the Channel Islands. As part of our celebrations we are delighted to be able to announce that we will be supporting the BWCI Mini soccer Festival for the next three years.
