Girls Football Week

Girls’ Football Week is a fun filled week of activities designed to get as many girls involved in playing football. Whether girls play regularly or are lacing their boots for the first time, it is a great opportunity for everyone to get active, meet new friends and have fun!

The Guernsey FA is running three sessions for this year’s Girls Football Week.  On Monday 23rd April girls aged 5-11 are invited to come to St Sampson’s High School at 4.00pm to take part in the Ravenscroft Girls Football Festival which will involve tag games, individual challenges and mini matches and lot of prizes to be won.

On Wednesday 25th April girls aged 5-11 are invited to come to Styx Centre for a Disney themed football session where the girls will be ‘Finding their way like Moana’, ‘Making moves like Repunzel’ and ‘Putting their best foot forward with the Zootropolis gang’.

On Thursday 26th April the Guernsey Girls Academy will be taking part in matches in preparation for their annual trip to Jersey at Victoria Avenue from 5.30pm. All are welcome to come along and support the girls in their journey to becoming Women Footballers.

Joelle has commented that “Girls’ Football Week is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who is interested in trying out football in a girl only environment to come down and give it a go in a fun and exciting way.  If you have any interest in trying girls football then I would strongly recommend coming along during Girls Football Week”

All sessions during Girls Football Week are FREE to attend, if you would like to receive more information about Girls Football Week here in Guernsey please contact Joelle.Pengelley@guernseyfa.com or 07781 441680
