Romanillos & Cook Image Rights Ltd in association with the Guernsey Football Association and The GFC Soccer School are pleased to announce that Real Madrid FC Foundation will be running a Summer Football Coaching Clinic in July 2014 in Guernsey. The five day clinic will run from Monday 21st July to Friday 25th July and is open to all Bailiwick of Guernsey children from School Years 1 to 10. Included in the price of the week-long clinic will be a full Real Madrid kit plus football.
‘Through their global business contacts, Romanillos & Cook are trying to ensure that the youth of Guernsey have the best opportunities to progress in their chosen field’, commented Director, Jason Cook.
The Real Madrid Summer Clinic will conform to the key principles of the GFC Soccer School programme and the GFA High Performance Player Pathway. These are the technical, social and personal development of all young players, regardless of gender or disability, using football as the learning tool.
Steve Sharman, GFA Director of Youth Development commented;
‘We are committed within the GFA HPPP to offer opportunities to our young players that will challenge their learning and understanding and contribute to a rounded football and social education. The link with Real Madrid is one strand of this approach and will allow coaches and players to develop themselves through exposure to new teaching methods not only on Guernsey but reciprocally within Madrid. Key is that we use this experience to add to our own defined football culture rather than try and replace it.
Tony Vance, Head Coach of the GFC Soccer School added;
‘We are now the most popular Soccer School in Guernsey and through our close links with the GFA and our joined up approach with The GFA HPPP Academy, we are absolutely delighted to be associated with the Real Madrid Summer Coaching Clinics.
