Junior Muratti Preview 2019

On Sunday 10th March, Guernsey will travel to Jersey for the 2019 edition of the annual Under 18 Junior Muratti fixture, which was first played in 1922.

Guernsey will be looking to regain the London Channel Islanders Society Trophy that they last claimed after a 2-1 win in the 2016 match played at Northfield. Since that win, Jersey have won the last two annual matches, and Guernsey will go into the match looking to overturn recent history in the competition, which has seen only two victories in the last ten years.

As part of the preparations for this match, current Under 18 Manager, Colin Fallazie, has again seen his squad participate in the Stranger Cup and will be buoyed by the form shown by the team in beating four senior first teams and topping group A to qualify for the semi-finals for the first time since entering the competition. Fallaize, and assistant Dave Gilman have selected the match day squad, which is as follows:
