Guernsey FA v Royal Navy U23s

On Friday 2nd February, the Guernsey FA Senior Representative team will play host to the Royal Navy U23’s in the first match that has been scheduled as part of the preparations ahead of the Muratti semi-final.

In what will be Chris Tardif’s first match as the Senior Men’s Representative Manager, a strong Guernsey squad will seek to reverse the result from this same fixture last season when the Royal Navy claimed victory at Footes Lane. Due to the recent adverse weather, the match will again be played at Footes Lane as the original pitch at The Track has been deemed unplayable, and Tardif, along with assistants Kevin Gilligan and John Jobes, has selected a strong squad for his first match in charge.

The squad, which includes players from Guernsey FC and four Priaulx clubs, will have the opportunity to impress ahead of a match against the Royal Air Force at the beginning of March, after which Tardif will select his squad to begin the defence of the Muratti Vase trophy in Alderney on 24th March.

The full squad for the match against the Royal Navy U23’s is:

Jason Martin – Saints

Leroi Riley – Manzur
