Guernsey FA Safeguarding Mascot Design Competition

We're looking for creative, hand-drawn designs for a brand-new mascot to engage under 18s with their local football safeguarding services.

Young people aged under 18 can enter until Monday the 31st of January 2022

Entries can be posted by a responsible adult on Twitter using the hashtag #GFAMascotDesignCompetition or emailed to safeguarding@guernseyfa.com

PRIZE: The winning design will receive an England shirt!

This is an opportunity for children to get creative, the mascot designs must be colourful, simple and fun. The intention for the mascot is to provide an instantly recognisable character to encourage under 18s to learn more about how to access safeguarding support services and other relevant organisations.

Guernsey FA Football Development Officer and Deputy Senior Safeguarding Lead, Angus Mackay, commented: “Safeguarding in football is very important and we continue to promote this through education and in-service workshops. This competition, and the new mascot, are aiming to help children to understand more about safeguarding, how to report concerns and who they can speak to if they do have a concern. It is important children understand what they can expect from football and what they can do when these expectations are not met.”
