Channel Islands company Close Finance CI has been unveiled as the headline sponsor of the 2020 men’s Muratti Vase. The agreement with the personal and business loan firm comes as tickets go on sale today for Jersey supporters ahead of the final in May.
“We’re really excited to align ourselves with one of the most high-profile sporting competitions in the Channel Islands,” said Close Finance Managing Director Richard Briscoe.
“It’s an excellent fit for us as we have clients across the islands, and we’re looking forward to seeing some excellent football and big crowds at the upcoming fixtures.”
The agreement covers the semi final between Alderney and Guernsey on Saturday 21st March 2020 and the final at Springfield Stadium, Jersey, on Saturday 16th May 2020.
“We’re delighted that Close Finance has come forward to support the Muratti in this way,” said Gary Roberts from the Inter-Insular Committee. “Local sport relies heavily on sponsorship and the three associations (Jersey FA, Guernsey FA and Alderney FA) are hugely grateful for the backing, as it’ll help fund the inter-island travel for the teams and the costs of putting on such major sporting fixtures.”
The Jersey Football Association has put home tickets for the Close Finance Muratti Vase final on sale online via www.jerseyfa.com. There are options for Jersey supporters to choose their exact seat or take advantage of two designated standing areas. New for 2020, will be the Close Finance Fan Zone hospitality package. Fan Zone provides access to a Muratti Bar throughout the match, a pre-match finger buffet, 2 complimentary drinks, a view of the game from the balcony, plus post-match entertainment, provided by Paul “Hedgie” Herridge of Boogalou Events.
There will be no tickets available on the gate on match day, so supporters are encouraged to buy online in advance to secure a spot. The 2020 Muratti will be a spectacle not to be missed, as the JFA has also teamed up with the Government of Jersey to embed a 75th Liberation anniversary theme to the event. Tickets for away fans will be released on Sunday, 22nd March, following the result of the semi-final between Alderney and Guernsey.
The Jersey FA is also pleased to confirm entrance to the women’s Muratti, the Over 50s inter-insular and walking football fixtures between Jersey and Guernsey on the same weekend will all be FREE. Donations for Jersey Cheshire Home will be collected at the Over-50s match.
