As part of the Association’s National Game Strategy, the Guernsey Football Association has launched a Girls Soccer Schools. the GFA is running age appropriate training by pooling all girl footballers on a central basis, rather than on a club by club basis. The Schools are being run thanks to FA funding and the assistance of coaches from all the GFA clubs who have kindly agreed to support the Schools with coaching.
The sessions will run on the ‘all weather’ pitch at St Sampson's High School on Thursday evenings commencing 15th January, girls are asked to check the GFA Information Line on 12026 for this weeks venue.
The sessions are:
6.00pm – 7.15pm: Girls School Years 4 to 7
7.15pm – 8.30pm: Girls School Years 8 to 11
The GFA are keen to support the development of players at the Schools by enabling them to participate in off island competitions and are appealing for sponsors to come forward to assist with this aim by contributing towards the cost of kits and travel to appropriate tournanents, events, matches.
