GUERNSEY COUNTY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION IS THE GUARDIAN OF THE NATIONAL GAME IN THE BAILIWICK OF GUERNSEY.

The Guernsey FA was formed in 1893 when affiliating to The Football Association, and will celebrate its 125th anniversary during the 2018/19 season. It is responsible for efficiently governing and developing the local game and that responsibility ensures that the Guernsey FA is committed to positively influencing participation for all in football regardless of age, ability, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion and socio-economic status.

This is achieved through developing partnerships with local stakeholders and delivery of programmes and opportunities for all to participate, which are aligned with The FA’s National Game Strategy and available are of the quality necessary to provide enjoyment, learning and development in safe environments. The Guernsey FA works in accordance with the FA guidelines and sanctions football in accordance with the rules of the national governing body.

Football in Guernsey continues to thrive and remains the largest participation and spectator sport in the island. With over 100 affiliated senior and youth teams and over 2000 regular participants, Guernsey FA is responsible for providing the support structure that enables players, volunteers, coaches and referees to develop individually or as part of a club or league.

Whilst the long and successful history of football in Guernsey is recognised, acknowledged and celebrated, the Guernsey FA is an evolving and forward thinking organisation that is passionate about our sport and its long-term future success.
